Setup

Install Nowledge Mem Exchange:

• Chrome / Edge: Get Extension
• Firefox: Get Extension

Open the side panel on any ChatGPT page. Enable your preferred capture modes. Done.

Let ChatGPT Search Mem

Use this when ChatGPT should read from your Mem, not just send content into it.

• Pro: custom MCP Apps can use read/fetch tools in Developer mode. Validate search or Context Bundle, not a write.
• Business: only admins/owners can create and publish the custom App; full MCP can include write actions.
• Enterprise/Edu: admins grant Developer mode; authorized developers can create/test, while admins/owners publish and control access/actions.
• Other plans or ineligible roles: use the Exchange browser extension and wait for the public Nowledge Mem plugin instead of looking for a create action that the account does not expose.

1. Choose the workspace. For Nowledge Mem Cloud, copy its public /mcp address from Connectors. For a workspace in the App, first use Access Anywhere to create a public HTTPS endpoint.
2. Open ChatGPT → Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and enable Developer mode.
3. Create a new App with the copied /mcp endpoint and approve Mem in the same browser profile that opened the pairing page.
4. Saving creates the real plugin_asdk_app_… technical ID. Record it for a later Plugins Directory submission; public review is separate from this private connection.
5. In ChatGPT Web or the ChatGPT desktop app, mention @Nowledge Mem when you want ChatGPT to search Mem.

This route is built for ChatGPT and other OAuth-only MCP clients. It avoids private API-key headers and connects directly to the selected Cloud or App workspace; Nowledge does not relay App MCP traffic through a shared gateway.
